Det lille røde hus

Ernest's summerhouse in Arild, Kullen

Photos from the house and area

Practicalities

The house holds 8 single beds in double rooms and one double bed. And of course an option to camp in the garden. It is located in the natural reserve outside the beautiful coastal town of Arild at Kullen in Southern Sweden.
Transport by car
Arild is about 1.5 hours from Copenhagen by car.
You can either go via the bridge (Storebæltsbroen) or the ferry (Helsingør/Helsingborg, apx 20 min)

Address: Hagavägen 53-36. 26043 Arild, Sverige
Google plus code: 9F8J7HH5+G6
Coordinates: 56.2788101, 12.5580584

Public Transport
Arild is about 2 hours from Copenhagen with public transport. There are three ways to get there:

  • Go via the ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg (the ferry is 20 min)
  • Go via train and bus to Höganäs
  • Go via train to Ängelholm

My preference is that you take one of the first two options as it allows me to pick you up closer to the house.

The pick-up points in my preferred order are:
  1. Arild Bussplatsen (5 min. drive each way)
  2. Höganäs Bustorget (20 min. drive each way)
  3. Ängelholm Station (35 min. drive each way)

You can find the travel plan and get tickets here: www.skanetrafiken.se

At the moment the price for a one-way ticket depending on which way you chose is 195-230 Swedish kroner (apx 125-150 Danish kroner.)

What to bring
Please bring bed linnen and a towel.
I also recommend good shoes for walking as the area has great hikes, and swim gear if you are into that kind of stuff. Photo ID is also a good idea. For Danes a drivers license is enough. For others, I recommend a passport.
