Program Structure and Purpose

1. About
The Professional Facilitator of Self-Inquiry (PFSI) program is provided by The Art of Being Human ApS, a company registered in Denmark. It is facilitated by Ernest Holm Svendsen.

2. Purpose and Scope
The PFSI program is an educational offering designed to support both personal and professional growth in the facilitation of self-inquiry. It draws on principles from The Work of Byron Katie and Compassionate Inquiry, but is not affiliated with either organization.
The program does not constitute therapy, clinical supervision, or medical training. While it may lead to insight and transformation, it is not a substitute for psychotherapy or other forms of professional mental health care. Facilitators are not acting in a therapeutic role, and no diagnosis, treatment, or specific outcome is promised or implied.

3. Program Content and Access
The PFSI program is designed to be completed over a 5-month period. Participants receive access to all core materials and program content for a total of 8 months from the date of enrollment. Extension of access beyond this period may be available for a fee.
Enrollment includes access to:
  • Self-study modules via the Thinkific platform
  • Live sessions such as Q&R sessions, live demos, and peer presentations
  • A private community space and peer interaction areas
Accreditation as a Professional Facilitator of Self-Inquiry is available upon successful completion of the final assessment and fulfillment of all program requirements.
The current list of requirements is available on the program webpage and may be updated periodically. Participants will be notified of any significant changes during their enrollment period.

4. Facilitation Style
Facilitation within the PFSI program emphasizes presence, co-exploration, and participant agency. The approach is often non-directive and emergent, inviting participants to stay connected to their inner experience and act from personal insight.
Facilitators do not offer advice, interpretation, or solutions. Instead, they aim to create a reflective, non-pathologizing space where clarity and transformation can arise through the participant’s own process.
This style may differ from therapeutic or outcome-driven models. Participants are encouraged to trust their own unfolding and to take responsibility for their engagement with the process.

PARTICIPATION TERMS

5. Responsibility and Participation
Participants are expected to take full responsibility for their own experience in the program. This includes interpreting course content, managing emotional responses, setting appropriate boundaries, and choosing their level of engagement at any given time.
The program may evoke emotional, existential, or interpersonal material that is intense or challenging. Participants are responsible for caring for their mental, emotional, and physical well-being—both during and between sessions.
While facilitators may offer support or perspective in cases of interpersonal conflict, The Art of Being Human ApS does not assume responsibility for resolving disputes between participants.
Individuals currently experiencing significant psychological distress, or who are unsure of their capacity to engage in deep personal work without professional support, are strongly encouraged to consult a qualified healthcare provider before enrolling.

6. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to contribute to a respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment. This includes:
– Engaging respectfully with facilitators and peers
– Avoiding discriminatory, harmful, or disruptive behavior
– Following session guidelines and group agreements
– Communicating promptly if cancelling a session or being unavailable for an extended period
Breaches of this code may result in removal from the program.
We ask each participant to help uphold a space where everyone can feel safe to explore openly and grow.

7. Exclusion Policy
The Art of Being Human ApS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove a participant from all or part of the program if their behavior, communication, or conduct is deemed disruptive, inappropriate, or incompatible with the values and learning environment of the program.
This may include, but is not limited to, behavior that interferes with group learning, undermines psychological safety, or impairs the participation of other members. Participants may be removed with or without prior notice.
If a participant is withdrawn under this policy, any refund—full or partial—will be determined at the sole discretion of The Art of Being Human ApS based on the circumstances.

8. Confidentiality
Participants agree to respect the confidentiality of any personal or sensitive information shared within the program, including in live sessions, group discussions, and peer practice settings. Participants may not record live sessions.
The facilitator also commits to treating all participant contributions—whether shared in private or group settings—as confidential. Exceptions may apply in cases where there is a legal obligation to report harm or risk.
Some sessions may be recorded by the facilitator and made available as part of the course materials. Upon request via email, a recording can be removed or anonymized in accordance with GDPR regulations.
A shared document listing the names and email addresses of active participants is made available for coordinating peer practice. Participant emails will be removed after course completion, and can be removed at any time upon request, in accordance with GDPR.

9. Facilitator Contact and Availability
Participants are welcome to contact the facilitator with questions related to the program. While responses are typically sent sooner, please allow up to 2–3 business days. During periods when retreats or live courses are underway, response times may be longer than usual. Your patience during these times is appreciated.

15. Amendments
The Art of Being Human ApS reserves the right to make changes to the structure, content, or delivery of the program, as well as to these terms and conditions.
Participants will be notified of any significant updates that may affect their experience or responsibilities during the course of the program.

16. Disclaimer of Liability
Participation in the PFSI program is undertaken at your own risk. The facilitators and organizers are not liable for any physical, emotional, psychological, financial, or professional outcomes resulting from your participation in the program. This includes, but is not limited to, impacts on your client work, business activities, or personal well-being.
To the extent permitted by Danish law, you agree not to hold Ernest Holm Svendsen, The Art of Being Human ApS, or any affiliated individuals or organizations liable for any unintentional harm or loss. This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

17. Disclaimer

18. Governing Law

19. Agreement to Terms
By registering for the PFSI program, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. This confirmation is legally binding and has the same effect as a handwritten signature.

Thank you for reading. These terms are here to support clarity, care, and a shared commitment to the integrity of the work we do together.
